How
does the FrenchPorte® Garage Door work?
The
FrenchPorte® Garage Door works just like a conventional garage
door. The door is divided into five horizontal sections which are then
hinged together. They also use the same guides or tracks as a conventional
garage door which allows the FrenchPorte® door to roll vertically
back into the garage.
How
strong is the FrenchPorte® Garage Door?
The FrenchPorte®
Garage Door is as strong and in many cases stronger than a conventional
garage door. Because of the inter-locking aluminum door construction
and the use of Polycarbonite window panes, the FrenchPorte®
Garage Door is able to withstand great abuse.
Will
the glass panes break?
Simply
put, NO. Actually the glass panes are not glass at all but a plastic
called Polycarbonite (sometimes referred to as bullet proof glass).
The strength of this plastic can withstand more wear than glass and
adds to the structural integretary of the FrenchPorte®
Garage Door.
How
heavy is the FrenchPorte® Garage Door in comparison to standard garage doors?
The FrenchPorte®
Garage Door weighs almost the same as standard garage doors; on average,
just a pound and a half heavier.
Can
you see through the windows?
No, The
window panes are all frosted which allows light to travel into the garage
while making it impossible to see inside.
Does
the FrenchPorte®
Garage Door come in different colors?
At this time the
FrenchPorte® Garage Doors come in white as the standard color. Custom color
requests can be handled by FrenchPorte.
